Breaking Soul Ties and Unholy Alliances

Soul ties can be formed through a variety of activities that are enslaving. Typically, people associate soul ties with partners engaging in sexual or intimate acts; yet there are other activities that can also create soul ties enslaving your soul in dysfunctional or destructive acts. Ultimately these ties curse the person.

First and probably the most spoken about are sexual soul ties. These occur for a variety of reasons. To begin with, any sexual action outside of marriage including partial acts, homosexual acts, pornography, rape, abuse, incest and impure or unnatural sexual acts even within marriage can bind a person. (Pornography and social media are two very addictive and damaging soul ties as much of them are cursed and also incite anger which fuels lust. Plus our minds believe what we are watching is real when in reality it is a screen.) These acts easily become addictive and destroy a person’s freewill to act virtuously cultivating temperance and chastity.

Other acts can also enslave one person to another. This list, though not exhaustive reveals how we become manipulated then enslaved in unhealthy relationships even within ourselves: 1. Physical and emotional abuse; 2. Vows, pacts or involvement with the occult; 3. Criminal activity; 4. Abortion, transgender surgeries, or enhancement surgeries that are unnecessary; 5. Tattoos and other paraphernalia that promotes evil or evil spirits. Finally, one of the most insidious pacts are blood ties, such as blood brothers, or initiation ceremonies that are secretive revealing hidden and forbidden knowledge. These pacts may seem innocuous but are dangerous as they lead to deeper involvement into the occult or unhealthy relationships. Despite soul ties that bind us and enslave us, Jesus sets us free. You have to ask and of course start breaking the strands of these soul ties.

To break any unhealthy soul tie: prayer, fasting, and doing good deeds begins the process. Prayers that break soul ties are specific and clear, calling upon Jesus to break the tie cleanly.

Lord Jesus Christ, I recognize that an unholy soul tie was created between me and (name), when we committed this sin (list the sin or sins). In the name of Jesus Christ, I give back what I took (anything thing you may have taken or received from that person) and I take back what I gave (any thing that you may have given that person usually words, or agreements). I hereby break any and all unholy soul ties with (name of person).

Once you have examined your past and identified unholy alliances, one should receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Also, if these soul ties persist, this prayer can be said daily till the tie is severed.

Loving Father, I acknowledge that an unhealthy soul tie exists between me and (name); I repent of this soul tie, and the consequences of these actions that led me to make this alliance. I repent of all my unforgiveness towards this person, and for any unhealthy attachment to that person in thought, word, or deed. Believing that I came before You Lord, as forgiven, I now ask You, heavenly Father, in the name of Your Son, Jesus, that by the power of your Holy Spirit, that you sever every unhealthy and unholy soul tie that exists between (the person or addiction) and me. I ask You to plant the Cross of Jesus and the shield of his Precious Blood, firmly and completely between (person or addiction) and me so that these unhealthy soul ties can never reconnect. I ask that any relationship between us from this day forward be a relationship filtered through the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus, I bind, command them to leave quietly and without manifestation to the foot of the cross. Loving Father, please restore the fullness of your Fatherly blessing upon me and to (name of person you had the soul tie). Restore what was lost and bless what is restored. I ask this in Jesus’ name by which all knees bend. Amen.
